Man arrested for hitting victim with a pan

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 30-year-old man is behind bars after hitting a victim with a pan during an argument.

Police say Mark Volten, of Spotsylvania, was in a verbal altercation with the victim Wednesday around 2:20 a.m. inside an establishment at the 1700 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest.

During the argument, Volten picked up a pan and struck the victim.

Police say officers responded and arrested Volten. The victim sustained a minor injury.
