Suspect fatally shoots teen, steals his Gucci belt, watch
PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – Police are searching for a suspect who, they say, shot and killed a 17-year-old boy and then stole his Gucci belt and watch.
The suspect fatally shot 17-year-old Bryan Alvarado-Esquivel, of Northwest, D.C., on June 18 in Bladensburg. Then, police say the suspect stole Alvarado-Esquivel’s personal belongings.
Officers responded to the 5300 block of Varnum Street around 1:55 p.m. for the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police say they found Alvarado-Esquivel suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police describe the suspect as an African-American male, about 20-years-old, about 5’2″ with shoulder-length dreadlocks or braids. Police say the suspect was seen running from the area wearing distinctive blue tennis shoes. He was also wearing light blue jeans and a black tank top.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-772-4925.
