PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – Two children were thrown out of an SUV during a crash in Fort Washington, police say.

Thursday morning, around 1:45 a.m., police say officers responded to a single car crash on Indian Head Highway between Fort Washington Road and Old Fort Road.

For reasons unknown, the SUV lost control and struck a guardrail, causing two children to be ejected from the vehicle.

Police say the children and the driver were taken to a hospital.

Police believe the injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
