Train service suspended after fire in Metro station

PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – Metrorail service has been suspended following a fire at one of the train stations.

Fire officials say there is a visible fire in a utility room at the Capitol Heights Metro Station which provides service for the Blue and Silver lines.

Train traffic has been told to stop. Follow @Metrorailinfo for updates on service.

Officials say tunnel exhaust fans have been turned on to help remove smoke.

No injuries have been reported.
