Suspects assault CVS employee during robbery

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – An employee was assaulted during a commercial robbery in Alexandria early Wednesday morning.

Police say two suspects robbed a CVS store at the 5100 block of Duke Street around 3 a.m.

During the robbery, police say the suspects assaulted a store employee.

Thankfully, the employee was not seriously injured.

The suspects stole items from the store.

Suspect descriptions have not been released, but Fairfax County Police have a helicopter assisting.
