Principal, teacher fight in front of students at Prince George’s Co. school

PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – A principal and teacher at a Prince George’s County elementary school got into a fight in front of students on school grounds last Tuesday, a PGCPS spokesperson confirmed. Both employees are now on leave.

The fight happened June 12 at Ardmore Elementary School. Police and an ambulance were called to the school for the report of a disorderly teacher, but officials say no arrests were made. School security handled the situation.

Principal Georgette Gregory was immediately placed on leave.

School officials are not saying whether it was a physical or verbal altercation.

The incident is still under investigation. Officials say no one was hurt.
