Riders rescued off roller coaster after malfunction

LARGO, Md. – A roller coaster malfunction at Six Flags in Largo sent many park goers into a panic Monday.

Several riders were rescued off the the Superman roller coaster after it malfunctioned. You can see them walking along the rails of the coaster.

Fire officials say all riders were able to get off the ride safely.

Six Flags staff were able to handle the situation without assitance from the fire department.

There is no word yet on what caused the malfunction.
