MONTGOMERY CO. – It took 125 firefighters and 1 million gallons of water to contain a fire at a recycling plant in Rockville Friday, Montgomery County fire officials say.

Large quantities of recycling material caught fire at Georgetown Paperstock Recycling at the 14800 block of Southlawn Lane.

Plant managers estimate damages at or below $100,000.

At this time, officials say the fire is contained but not completely put out.

There are some road closures in the area and driving conditions may be unsafe because of the smoke in the air.
