WASHINGTON, D.C. - This weekend's Opening Act is Brother of Brass Band, a band started up by some friends in Atlanta who started busking on the streets during major events. The band specializes in hard-hitting street music. They describe their sound as southern brass tradition meets Denver streets.
The band has traveled all around the country performing on busy streets before, after, and during events and festivals. After travelling through over forty states, the band decided on Denver as their home base for busking and travel to warmer destinations during the winter season.
The band performed during the Capitals Game 5 Watch Party Thursday night. The Capitals ended up beating the Las Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 to take home the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history.
