WASHINGTON, D.C. – Young patients at MedStar Georgetown who are battling serious illness are showing their spirit and rocking the red!

Kids at the hospital are working together on Capitals themed paintings through a non-profit art therapy program called Tracy’s Kids.

Founder Tracy Council says the Capitals have supported kids in the MedStar Georgetown clinic all year long, now it’s their chance to show appreciation.

“The Caps helped renovate our Pediatric Oncology Clinic and they visit the kids when they get a chance. The players are really great with the kids. We are so grateful for their support–and such big Caps fans!” she said.

As the Capitals are one win away from taking home the Stanley Cup, the kids are focused on their heroes snatching the trophy!
