Ellicott City flooding victim’s funeral to be held Thursday

SEVERN, Md. – Staff Sergeant Eddison A. Hermond died in a heroic attempt to save lives during the devastating flood in Ellicott City on May 29.

Details for the fallen hero’s funeral have been announced.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, from 10-10:30 a.m. at The Church at Severn Run 8187 Telegraph Rd, Severn, Maryland. Funeral service will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. and will conclude at 12 p.m. Interment will follow to Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, Maryland. Services will include military honors.

Staff Sergeant Eddison is survived by his loving parents, Eddison A. Hermond, Sr. and Cleola Thompson; beloved son Jayden Cornell Jenkins and devoted sister Alicia Joeselle Armstrong.
