DCW’s Weekend Opening Act 6-1-2018

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This weekend’s Opening Act is Tony Craddock Jr. & Cold Front, an emerging jazz saxophonist whose music uplifts people, like a cold front lifts warm air. Craddock is also the bandleader and musical director of Tony Craddock, Jr. & Cold Front.

His passions for music and weather began at age eight courtesy of the smooth jazz on The Weather Channel’s “Local on the 8s,” eventually leading him to Cornell University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. After graduating, he founded the independent music label Cold Front Music, LLC with the mission of uplifting people with music that inspires them through the weather.

Craddock & Cold Font performed at the National Gallery of Art Jazz in the Garden Summer Concert Series. Jazz in the Garden happens every Friday at the National Gallery of Art from 5-8:30 p.m. For more information, visit their website.
