PRINCE WILLIAM CO. – A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in a stabbing that killed one man and injured another, police say.

Police responded to the stabbing at the 7500 block of Prince Cole Court in Manassas Wednesday morning.

The suspect met Herbert Martinez, 20, and an 18-year-old man to conduct a transaction. Police say at some point, a fight broke out.

During the altercation, police say the juvenile suspect stabbed Martinez, of Sterling, several times to his upper body.

The suspect then stabbed the 18-year-old, also from Sterling, in his lower body.

Police say Martinez died from his injuries, and the 18-year-old victim is expected to survive.

The suspect was located later in the day and is being charged with second degree murder.
