WASHINGTON, D.C. – Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting married across the pond, there’s no reason why you can’t celebrate the Royal Wedding right here in D.C.

There are lots of different ways you can vicariously partake in the wedding planned for May 19 with a variety of events going on in the District this week.

  • Royal Wedding Pop-Up Bar

The Royal Wedding Pub is here in D.C. until May 20. The same company that brought us themed pop-up bars for the Cherry Blossom Festival and Game of Thrones is now helping us celebrate the Royal Wedding! You can enjoy some specialty cocktails, a back-room that features a red and gold throne, and recreations of the wedding cake! The bar is located at 1829 7th Street, NW.

Get some friends together and enjoy the “2018 Royal Wedding Dozen.” Or you eat them all to yourself. Whichever way, you’ll get to have some lemon Elderflower “English Rose” cupcakes, red velvet cupcakes decorated with UK flags, buttercream cupcakes topped with an “H&M” monogram, and more!

  • Viewing Parties

Lots of local restaurants will be hosting watch parties while you brunch! Some restaurants will be giving away prizes while others are offering special menu items. Check out The Dish and Dram, Via Umbria, The Fairmont, and Ritz Carlton for a Royal Wedding viewing party!
