Teen killed in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- D.C. Police are investing a fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy on Wednesday afternoon.

Detectives said that around 3:06 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Anacostia Rd., SE after hearing gunshots.

There they found Domoni Gaither, 17, of Southeast D.C. suffering from gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded and found Gaither had no signs consistent with life and he was pronounced dead.

Police also found two men suffering from gunshot wounds in the 3500 block of Minnesota Ave., SE. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information which leads to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
