Local organization responds to unlicensed dentistry in Fairfax County.

FAIRFAX, VA - DCW-50 news recently did a story about an unlicensed dental provider in West Falls Church, whose patient tested positive for a blood borne infection. The story got the attention of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, that runs the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic. Dr. James Willis, president of NVDS says his organization felt responsible, that such practice exist in the county and that his organization is doing everything to let the public know, that top notch dental care is available at little or no cost.

NVDS operates two dental clinics in Northern Virginia. Tom Wilson, executive director at the Fairfax clinic says, for fifty dollars per visit, patients can have access to a multitude of dental services.

Dr. Willis says that in northern Virginia, it's not a matter of lack of dental services, but rather the challenge is letting people know that the services are available.
