PRINCE WILLIAM CO. – A woman was arrested after threatening a man with a machete in a Woodbridge parking lot, police say.

Police say officers responded to the area of Clipper Drive and Tumbling Brook Lane to investigate a possible fight.

The investigation shows that a 62-year-old man was parking his car when an unknown woman approached him in a vehicle.

Mannie Burton, 51, got out of the vehicle and started yelling threats at the man. Burton approached the man and then brandished a machete, police say.

Authorities say the man fled the area and contacted the police and provided them with Burton’s license plate number.

Officers went to Burton’s address in Woodbridge and arrested her, officials say.
