Detectives investigate double homicide in Capitol Heights

PRINCE GEORGE’S, CO — Homicide Unit detectives are working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot a couple in their Capitol Heights home. The victims are 64-year-old Dan Leake and 62-year-old Wilhelmina Leake of Omaha Street. At this timedetectives do not believe this was a random crime.

On May 2nd, at approximately 3:05 am, patrol officers responded to the 4700 block of Omaha Street for the report of a shooting. They discovered the victims inside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators are working to establish a motive and identify suspect(s).
