Teen wanted for murder of D.C. man


WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 17-year-old male suspect is wanted for the murder of 22-year-old Aujee Tyler, of Southeast, D.C, police say.

Police say they need the public’s help in locating Kaevon Sutton who fatally shot Tyler on March 19 at the 3500 block of Stanton Road.

Police responded for the report of gunshot sounds around 4:40 p.m. Upon arrival, police say they discovered Tyler with multiple gunshot wounds. Tyler was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police say.

Police describe Sutton as a Black male, 5’7″, 170 pounds, with dark eyes and black hair. Police say Sutton should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police are offering a reward up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 202-727-9099.
