D.C. Police searching for SE homicide suspect
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police released updated surveillance video Monday of the suspect wanted in the murder of 52-year-old Maria Evans of Southeast, D.C.
At approximately 7:58 am, police say they responded for the report of a person down, in the alley, at the 500 block of Oakwood Street.
Upon arrival, police say officers located Evans unconscious and suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, Evans was pronounced dead, police say.
The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in this updated video link.
