2 arrested for February Capitol Heights homicide
PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – Police say they arrested two suspects in connection with a homicide in Capitol Heights that occurred in February.
25-year-old Tre Branch, of Capitol Heights, and 26-year-old Pierre Queen of Northeast, D.C., are charged with the fatal stabbing of 32-year-old Joseph Whack, police say.
Police responded to the 1300 block of Glacier Avenue on February 4 around 11:20 p.m. to check on the welfare of a man in the roadway.
Upon arrival, police say they located Whack suffering from stabs wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials say.
An investigation revealed that Branch and Queen, who were acquaintances of the victim, stabbed Whack during a dispute.
Branch and Queen are both charged with first and second degree murder and related charges, police say.
They are being held without bond.
