Police searching for man who attempted to kidnap teen

MONTGOMERY CO. – Police say they are looking for a man who attempted to kidnap a 13-year-old girl in Germantown Friday evening.

The victim was walking back from a 7-Eleven near Mateny and Clopper Roads when she was approached by a man in a white vehicle, police say.

While still in his vehicle, the Hispanic male driver asked her if she needed a ride. When she replied that she didn’t need a ride, the suspect parked and exited his vehicle.  He approached the girl, grabbing her arm, and pulling on it, police say. The victim was able to free herself and flee from the suspect. She ran home and told her parents who then called police

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, possibly in his 30’s, 5′ 10″ tall, and thin (possibly weighing approximately 160 pounds).  He was clean shaven and smelled “clean” as if he had recently bathed.  He had a thick Hispanic accent.  He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

The victim also stated that a male subject who walking his dog at the time of this event witnessed the crime and told the suspect to stop his assault of the victim.
