PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – A United States Postal Service truck was involved in a car crash that killed one man and sent four other individuals to the hospital Thursday, Maryland State Police say.

Police say they responded to a crash around 5:30 p.m. at Largo Road and Wood Branch Court in Largo, Maryland.

Responding troopers found three vehicles, including a USPS mail truck, a GMC pickup and a Dodge Ram pickup involved in the crash.

The investigation shows the driver of the pickup truck crossed the center line and struck the Dodge Ram head-on. The USPS mail truck was travelling behind the Ram and was unable to avoid crashing into the two trucks.

The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.

Another four victims were transported by ambulance to a hospital.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, police say.
