FAIRFAX CO. – With the help of a K9, Fairfax County Police say they arrested a drug dealer possessing cocaine and $43,000 in cash from drug sales.

Officers stopped a car for defective equipment, police said Thursday. Officers believed there could be drugs in the car.

Police say K9 Lobo sniffed the outside of the car and alerted officers that he smelled something.

Police searched the car and say they found cash, drugs, and small baggies of cocaine labelled for sale.

Officers followed up at the man’s home and found more than $43,000 in cash along with more drugs and documents showing drug sales, police say.

Police say the man is facing five counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and is being held without bond.
