Man dead, woman injured in D.C. shooting
WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man is dead and a woman is injured after a shooting in Southeast, D.C. Saturday night, police say.
Police say they responded to the 2300 block of Raynolds Place around 9:50 p.m. for the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police say they found a man, identified as 33-year-old Anthony Smith of Southeast, suffering from gunshots.
Smith was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials say.
Police say they also found a woman at the 2700 block of Bruce Place suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital.
