WASHINGTON, D.C. - Our Opening Act this week is John McGrath, an Irish singer/songwriter.

John McGrath hails from Belfast, North Ireland and has been entertaining on both sides of the Atlantic for almost 40 years.  He has a fine baritone voice and an extensive Irish repertoire which includes soulful ballads mixed with up-tempo, audience-participation songs.  His Irish charm is apparent as he engages the audience with his songs and stories.

He is well established in the Washington area and performed at the Dubliner on St Patrick’s Day for the 34th consecutive year. McGrath also played last year at the Capitol for the Irish PM, President, VP and Speaker of the House.

McGrath performed at The Dubliner, America's premier Irish pub! The Dubliner was established in 1974 in the best of a long barkeeping tradition. The Dubliner is one of America's largest purveyors of Guiness Stout and the only purveyor of Auld Dubliner Amber Ale, a wonderful brew made exclusively for The Dubliner.

The Dubliner hosts entertainers every night along with great food, drinks, and atmosphere!
