WASHINGTON, D.C. – The start of the peak bloom for the D.C. cherry blossoms has been postponed due to cold weather, officials say.

“We now forecast the start of peak bloom for the cherry blossoms to occur during March 27-31,” said the National Park Service in a tweet.

The initial peak bloom was set for March 17-20, but the cold weather over the last 10 days has shifted the peak back.
