Police: Man stabbed and suffering from ‘evisceration of intestines’

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was stabbed multiple times in Northwest, D.C. after leaving a nightclub Sunday morning, police say.

Officials say the stabbing happened in front of a Cheesesteak shop in Adams Morgan at the 1700 block of Columbia Road NW around 3:00 a.m.

Officers were flagged down by three witnesses who told police a man had been stabbed.

Police say the man was suffering from stab wounds to the back and abdomen with evisceration of his intestines.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital where police were able to interview the witnesses, who say they were walking from a club and being followed by a group of people before the stabbing occurred.
