ODENTON, Md. — Neighbors have been left baffled over what led to the shooting deaths of a husband and wife inside their home on the 2000 block of Brigadier Blvd Sunday morning around 7:05am.

According to police, the victims are 55-year-old Charles James Edward Jackson and 47-year-old Veronique Crystal Jackson.
Neighbors say the couple’s son found them.

“The neighbors are just trying to pull together and help the family members as they arrive as best we can to comfort them.”, said one neighbor who wished not to be identified.

Those who live in the community described the couple as being ‘good neighbors’.
They said the husband, who went by Chuck, could always be seen out and about, while his wife was more reserved.

“They went to work everyday… help you out if you needed them.”, said neighbor Johnetta Thurston.

“When anything would happen, he was the first one on the street and all that.”, said another neighbor.

Neighbors also say the couple had a daughter who is away at school and that there were never any indications of domestic abuse.
According to police, this appeared to be a targeted incident.
Now, the neighborhood is coping with the pieces left behind.

One neighbor said, “It’s just totally devastating for the whole neighborhood. I mean, we’re all out and we’re all shocked. it’s so surreal.”

“We’re just all trying to band together because these were good people and they didn’t deserve whatever happened.”, said Thurston.
