MONTGOMERY CO., Md. - Court documents list a man and a woman, confirmed by Montgomery County Public Schools as employees, in a drug bust in Northwest D.C.
According to the documents, back on February 1, officers responded to the Mason Inn, located at 2408 Wisconsin Avenue, and found Erin McKenna, Scott Price, and Joshua Myers at a vendor table.
On the table, documents say officers found 102 assorted edibles, five capsules containing a brown liquid, nine bags of marijuana, and two glass jars of marijuana.
All three were arrested with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor.
The Sherwood High School website lists McKenna as a school counselor.
Price is listed as a Digital Art teacher at Kingsview Middle School and a teacher at Wheaton High School.
Despite the February 1st arrest, a letter about the situation didn't go home until Wednesday at Sherwood High School, and not until Thursday for Kingsview and Wheaton parents.
Some students at Sherwood told DCW50 that most students enjoyed having McKenna as a counselor. However, they feel the school should have taken action sooner.
"It was a little frustrating because nothing was really being done about it, even though they knew she had been caught, actually our friends dad was the cop that busted her," says Joey Hunt, a senior.
The letter sent home to Sherwood parents stated in part:
"We are committed to providing a safe learning environment for our students. We have followed all of our reporting protocols and are working with MCPS central office administration on this matter. The staff member is on administrative leave pending the results of an investigation."
The letter to Kingsley and Wheaton parents also said Price was on administrative leave pending the results of an investigation, but added: "Our schools were just made aware of this arrest last night."
MCPS school officials said they were not commenting outside of the letters sent home.
