MONTGOMERY CO. – A boy on his skateboard was struck by a car by Stone Mill Elementary School Monday, police say.

The collision happened around 5:26 p.m. at the 14300 block of Stone Bridge View Drive.

Fire officials say the boy was hit and pinned, but freed by bystanders before EMS arrived. EMS transported the boy to a nearby hospital.

Police say the boy’s injuries are non-life threatening.
