35 people displaced by McLean apartment fire

McLean, VA. -- 35 people have been displaced by a two-alarm fire at a four-storey garden apartment complex in McLean, Va.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Willie Bailey said the fire started around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and took about 30 minutes to extinguish.

No injuries were reported.

A total of 35 people were displaced by the fire and were being assisted by the National Capital Region Red Cross to replace items lost and find new housing.

The cause of the fire and total cost of damage is under investigation.
