Attempted carjacking

WOODBRIDGE, VA., – On January 13th around midnight, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 15052 Cardinal Dr to investigate an attempted carjacking.

The victim, a 50-year-old  woman, reported to police that she was walking back to their vehicle in the parking lot after purchasing items inside the store. Once at her car, two unknown men approached her. One of the men then brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim struck the suspect with her bag. The victim’s 22- year – old daughter exited the store and threw her hot chocolate towards the suspects who then fled on foot. No injuries were reported and no property was taken. A police K-9 searched for the suspects who were no located.

The suspects are described as being black males of an unknown age around 5’10” with thin builds. The armed suspect was wearing a black winter coat with a black fur trimmed hood. The other suspect was wearing dark colored clothing and red gloves.
