DC Police are looking for suspect in a sexual assault case

WASHINGTON, D.C.,  – Detectives from the MPD are asking for help in locating a suspect in connection with an assaualt that occurred on Sunday, December 10, 2017, in the 400 block of East Capitol Street, SE.

Around 4:00 a.m., the victim was receiving a ride in a vehicle for hire.  During the ride, the suspect , 32 year-old Selvin Choccoj, parked the vehicle, at the listed location, and attempted to sexually assault the victim.  The victim was able to escape the vehicle and fled the scene in a 4-door dark colored sedan.  The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Choccoj is described as a Hispanic male, 5’7” in height, approximately 165 pounds, with a medium build.  He is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with Assault with Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse.
