Loudoun County teacher charged with being drunk at school
LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — A teacher at Sterling Elementary School was arrested today and charged with being drunk in public, and drinking alcohol on public school grounds during school hours.
Claire Bucher, 25, was taken into custody after school personnel told the school resource officer that a teacher was possibly intoxicated. Loudoun County law enforcement says that further investigation pointed to Bucher being drunk and also possessing alcohol while on school property.
“Bucher remains held until sober at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center,” said a release from the county.
