FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — After a man died of stab wounds stemming from a Saturday bar fight, police are investigating a second assault that occurred after his stabbing.

Harold Garnett, 27, was fatally stabbed in an altercation at Velocity 5, a bar in Centreville. Officers were called to the bar in the 5800 block of Trinity Parkway around 2 a.m. on Saturday, and found Garnett with critical wounds. He was taken to the hospital and initially expected to survive, but died Saturday night.

When they canvassed the area for suspects, police say a K-9 unit found Vidal Flores Cuchillas, 38, hiding in bushes nearby. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Police believe that two other unidentified suspects were also involved in the bar fight, and that a 26-year-old man was assaulted by them before they fled, causing minor injuries. They’re searching for two Hispanic men in their mid-to-late 20s, with thin builds. They were reportedly only involved in the second assault case, and are not suspects in Garnett’s murder.

Police believe up to fifty people saw these crimes being committed, and want to interview as many people as they can. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Vickery at 703-246-7865.
