DC police seize 53 pounds of marijuana

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The narcotics unit of the MPD made a significant drug bust on October 30 when they found a large amount of money, marijuana and cocaine at a home in Southwest.

The bust took place at a residence in the 900 block of 6th street, and resulted in three arrests: Tiffany Henry, 30, Angela Cortez, 33, and Seremy Albrecht, 42. Police say they found $75,000 in cash, 53 pounds of marijuana, and 71 grams of cocaine.

Henry, Albrecht and Cortez were all charged with felony possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and Cortez and Albrecht were additionally charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
