Former MLB player, Nats analysts arrested following fight

FAIRFAX Co., Va. – Former Major League Baseball player and current analyst Ray Knight was arrested on charges of assault and battery following a fight early Sunday morning.

Police were called to Knight’s home in the Kingstowne area of Fairfax county around 4 a.m. Sunday morning on reports of a fight.

Two men involved in the fight were taken to the hospital due to their injuries but only Knight, 64, was charged by police. Police didn’t identify the other man in the fight but did note he was 33 years old.

Knight is a former World Series MVP from his days with the 1986 Mets. He also managed the Cincinnati Reds before going to the broadcast booth and recently working with MASN covering Washington Nationals games.
