Help Wanted: Jobs fairs and openings in your area

WASHINGTON, D.C. — We are tracking the latest jobs for you around the DMV.

The University of Maryland/Merrill College career fair is on Oct. 16. This fair is aimed at both graduate and undergraduate students interested in journalism. It’s being held at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union and will run from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.  More info here.

On the 17th, National Career Fairs is hosting a job fair at Doubletree Crystal City, it’s held at the Doubletree hotel in Crystal City. Organizers say participants will have the chance to interview for several positions over the course of the day, so bring your resume. The fair will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. More info here.

On the 18th, there is a career fair for wounded veterans which is being hosted by the Naval Sea Systems Command and is “reverse-style”, meaning that hiring managers will have time to conduct one-on-one interviews. They will be looking to hire at the fair. All participants are asked to submit their resumes in Microsoft Word format, as well as a copy of their DD-214 form via email to nssc_wwarriorhiring@navy.mi.
