WOODBRIDGE, Va. – Police say a Prince William County woman left her child in a stroller in the middle of a street during an argument. They say she is now facing felony child neglect charges.

Officials say police responded to the 2700 block of Potomac Mill Circle in Woodbridge after reports of a domestic incident. They say 19-year-old Luz Anabel Fernandez was involved in a verbal altercation with a 28-year-old Alexandria man, who police say was an acquaintance. During that argument, police report that Fernandez left a 9-month old girl in a stroller in the road as she chased down the victim. Fernandez then bit and assaulted the man.

Police say that the child was uninjured and has been placed into the custody of another family member. Fernandez was arrested.
