Police release composite sketch of Loudoun County thief

LOUDOUN CO, Va– Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office have released a composite sketch of the suspect involved in a attempted theft of a purse that occurred on September 28th in the area the Aldi grocery store in Sterling.

Around 1:00 p.m. on September 28th,  an unknown male approached the victim who was loading groceries into the back of her van in the parking lot of the store.  The male allegedly stated “I’m going to help you” and then attempted to grab the victim’s purse. The victim had her hand on the purse and after a brief struggle the suspect let go of the purse and fled the area.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, aproximalty 5’8” in his late 20’s to early 30’s with a skinny build. The suspect was clean cut and had a goatee.

Anyone with any information regarding the possible identity of the suspect is asked to call Detective R. Reed with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-0475.
