COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Residents of the Seven Springs apartment complex in College Park are stunned and concerned after police say a shooting left one man dead and another injured around 5:30 Sunday morning.

“This is the second time we’ve lived down here and there’s never, ever been any incident.”, said two-time resident, Danny Juan, adding, “It’s crazy. Didn’t expect anything like that happening around here.”

On learning about the incident, one-year resident Danny Tran said, “It makes me terrified for my safety.”

And three-year resident Noelia Serrano said, “We’ve not heard of anything like this before.”

One neighbor who didn't appear in camera, said that she heard arguing and then, gunshots.

The incident now has some residents, like Domax Chukwuleten Clinton, rethinking their living arrangements.

“The security here is not that tight, right? Anything can happen at any time. People mill in and they mill out. So, that’s why I don’t feel very, very safe here.”, he said.

There are still many unanswered questions. So far, police have not released the identities of the victims or any information about how or why the shooting happened.
The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating this as a homicide.
