DCW50 and DC101 are the TV & Radio sponsors for Washington, DC’s very first “running of the balls” on Saturday, September 9th , 8AM at the Capital Crescent Towpath. Join us along with the DC Running Club in the fight against Testicular Cancer.

DCW50 will also be raffling off a smart TV, two tickets to a Caps hockey game , and a framed and signed poster from Highly Suspect (Alternative Rock Artist) from this year’s DC101 Kerfuffle Concert!

Testicular cancer is the #1 cancer in men under 40. When caught and treated in its earliest stages, testicular cancer is 99% curable. The Foundation was established in memory of Sean Kimerling, the Emmy Award-winning anchor of WB 11 sports and pre-game announcer for the Mets. Sean died from testicular cancer on September 9, 2003. He was only 37.

Sean’s parents, who can be seen in the interview below, launched this event in NY and are bringing it to Washington, DC because he graduated suma cume laude from Georgetown University.
