WASHINGTON D.C. – At least 7 shootings over since Saturday across the city have left at least 2 people dead and several others injured.

On Monday, police released video of a person of interest investigators would like to speak regarding one of those shooting deaths Sunday morning.

Juan Carlos Osorio-Herrera, 24, was shot around 2 a.m. Another person was also shot during the incident. He was sent to the hospital in grave condition according to police.

An unidentified man also died in a shooting on Quarles Street NE around 3 p.m. Sunday.

Police Chief Peter Newsham expressed frustration over the weekend violence through a tweet published Sunday.

This comes at a time when police are telling the public they’ve done good job of taking illegal guns off the streets.
