Man arrested in Forestville homicide

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Police have charged a 20-year-old man with first and second degree murder in connection with a homicide committed on June 28.

Torey Stockton, 20, is in custody for the death of Jerelle Burnett. Burnett was found suffering from fatal gunshot wounds around 8:05 p.m. on the 28th, in the 6400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Police say that the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation prior to the shooting.
