PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Two men have been charged in a fatal shooting that took place last December on White Pearl Place in Capitol Heights.

On December 30 around 10:00 p.m., Carrington Carter II was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 7100 block of White Pearl Place. He later died at the hospital. He was 27.

The shooting, police say, was the result of an illegal drug transaction gone wrong.

Julius Senior, 28, and Jamal Garner, 22, have been charged in Carter’s death. Senior is charged with first and second degree murder, and Garner is charged with attempted first and second degree murder.

They are in custody in D.C., awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
