WAHSINGTON, D.C. -- This week's Opening Act is Cajun band BeauSoleil, which performed at the Smithsonian's Folklife Festival.
BeauSoleil is a six-piece band that derives its sound from a combination of "New Orleans jazz, blues rock, folk, swamp pop, Zydeco, country and bluegrass," according to their website. Learn more about them here.
The Smithsonian Folklife Festival, which turned 50 this year, celebrates cultural heritage from all over the world, and is traditionally hosted in the nation's capital around the Fourth of July.
