1 killed after SUV collides with CSX train

PRINCE GEORGE’S CO., Md. – The Prince George’s County is investigating a fatal collision involving a train and an SUV that occurred early Tuesday morning.

According to officials, the incident happened around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 11500 block of Baltimore Avenue. Police say officers arrived after receiving a call about a train colliding with an SUV. The driver of that SUV was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officials say investigators are working on figuring out the circumstances leading up to this collision.

At this time, Baltimore Avenue between Naples Avenue and Garrett Avenue is closed in both direction.
