One injured after engine collision at Amtrak rail yard

WASHINGTON, D.C. – DC Fire and EMS reports an incident that happened late Wednesday night at the Amtrak rail yard.

According to officials, two train engines collided in what they describe as “low impact contact” in the Amtrak rail yard, located off of 9th Street, Northeast. Fire officials do report one minor injury. The victim was transported to a local hospital.

Officials also say that there was no derailment.
