Attempted abduction in Woodbridge

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Early this morning, officers responded to reports of an assault, and a woman on the scene told them that a man had approached her, grabbed her, and tried to drag her away.

The incident took place around 5:10 a.m. in the area of Castile Court. A struggle ensued when the woman fought the suspect, and he assaulted her, causing minor injuries.

She managed to break free of him and call police. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot. Officers sent a K-9 after him and searched the area, but couldn’t locate him.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 35 years old, 5’5″ and about 170 lbs. He has dark hair, and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and khaki shorts.
